I, too, experienced "death" at a young age, but I did not realize it until much later. My parents were married young, just out of college for my mom, when they had me. I remember hearing my parents yelling at each other about little things. It was then that my mother died. Her spirit had been crushed by her disaterous marriage. It's not that my dad was abusive. He wasn't. But she was forced into the marriage by her parents so her freedom of choice was crushed.

I believe that we, as individuals, do know what "life" is, but in our obsession to cheat "death," we are committing ourselves to an early grave. I believe that we need to "live" for today and let tomorrow take care of itself.

I really dig what you said in your post. I look forward to reading more of your submissions...
