The interconnectedness of all things; Buddhists and the modern Chaos theory
Posted by Oliver Wise on May 06, 1998 at 16:08:45:

It is the fundamental belief that Buddhists believe that everything is interconnected. Nothing can exist by itself and everything affects everything else. This idea is very similar to the the modern chaos theory which states that everything in nature including the weather, the mind, nature, ect. is affected by an infinite ammount of factors. The idea states that a butterfly's flapping of its wings in Japan can result in a tornado in Ohklahoma. We also know now of the complicated web of nature and how if a link is taken out, all the living beings will suffer.
